Whitchurch (2010) developed a phase model that individuals go through when different groups work together in the “third space”. Based on this model, the context of cooperation between universities and schools in the context of internships was examined. With the help of evaluation conferences conducted at two teacher education programmes, topics were identified which could offer potential for the further development of internship cultures. It was also shown that not all aspects which are introduced discursively are suitable for such further development.
