In the context of degree programmes, flexible learning offers an approach to adapt to the various and constantly changing educational backgrounds and life situations of students. Moreover, flexible learning strategies promote and encourage the development of the personal competences needed to foster lifelong learning as a part of future skills. This prepares individuals for long-term participation in constantly advancing agile work processes. This workshop report, based on the Media Computer Science B.Sc. programme at TH Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences, describes and discusses how these skills can be fostered by using flexible elements during the introductory phase of a study programme on audiovisual media production.
