The Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) deploys various digital initiatives to support flexible learning approaches. This paper shows the extent to which these activities address the requirements of students concerning flexible learning. The data from the WU Student Survey on Mid-Term Studies were evaluated quantitatively and qualitatively to discover the needs of the students and to analyse them within the life contexts of the individual students. The results of this study are compared with the actions currently taken by WU to provide an up-to-date picture of the promotion of flexible learning at WU.
