Open Education Austria – An Austrian model for OER integration in higher education
Main Article Content
As part of the project “Open Education Austria” (OEA), a cross-university-specific online portal for Open Educational Resources (OER) was designed and implemented as the initial implementation case. At the same time, services and qualification offerings for teachers were established for the development of reusable OER (e.g., use in admission procedures, bridging courses, courses, open online courses). Both the technical portal and the services for teachers required a focused pooling of (e-)learning centre expertise, libraries and central computer services. This paper discusses the project, including the challenges and previous results, as well as the lessons learned.
